Einstein's Theory of Relativity

Yesterday I had an epiphany that Einstein's Theory of Relativity is also God's Theory of our lives.

Einstein's Theory states:

  1. The laws of physics are the same for all observers in uniform motion relative to one another (principle of relativity),
  2. The speed of light in a vacuum is the same for all observers, regardless of their relative motion or of the motion of the source of the light.
So how does this relate to God you may ask. Well let me ask you can a rectangle be a circle, or can a circle be a rectangle? Well it can!!!! How? Well a circle and a rectangle are two dimensional geometric shapes, but a pen is a three dimensional figure that has both a rectangle and a circle.

So once again how does this relate to Einstein? Well the speed of light is the same for every person in the universe. If we run from a light particle the light particle will never be closer or further away from us. God is the same way He is with us and as close to us as He always has been. You see God is the three dimensional pen and we are the rectangle and circles. He look at the pen and see's all sides of it. Where we can only see the side that we are.

Let me take it one step further...

Time is a measurement of our lives. We are born, we pay taxes, we get married, we die. With other things too, but that is the basics of life. We can only see here and now and we can change our future but the past is gone. We can never change the past no matter what happens.

XXXX(past)------------>future

But God knows our past and He knows our future because God looks at two dimensional time in 3D. He can go forward and see our lives lived, and He can go back and see what we have done. But you know the real kicker of it all... God keeps no record of right and wrong. God see's that no matter how far we go to the east or to the west, His love for us never leaves us. God is light!

Hopefully, you enjoyed this blog and I am sorry for not updating sooner. I will try again.

Laminin

I can't even begin to touch on this subject, so today I am going to cheat a little. The Lord knows every thing about us and He knows our hearts. But did you really know that, or maybe you can't comprehend that concept. What I am attaching is a Link, because Louie Giglio speaks far more eloquently than me. This is to big to miss, please take the time and watch.

Thanks and God Bless.

Wesley Saying

"In fact, true prayers grows out of a sense of the absence of God and our need for God's presence."

Today I felt God talking to me about prayer and what we are called to do during prayer. The above quote is from a book I am studying called, "Wesley Gold." I have been doing a lot of studying in John Wesley's life, because I feel out of all the great Theologians that have shaped History, He is the one I relate to the most. Here is this brilliant man who God has used to do great things, but when it came to his prayer life it was idle. But how can that be?

What people fail to understand is that God is all about relationships. We look into the Old Testament and we see that every time His people stop talking to Him is when the crap happens. I am going to take just one example:

"God, you have rejected us. You suddenly turned on us in your anger. Please restore us!"-Psalm 60:1

This was an all too recurring theme of the Old Testament. In this instance King David is weeping and asking for God to take favor on them. But why would God want too? Israel has failed to live up to the standard that He put in place.

There are around 700 Biblical Laws in the Old Testament. Today in our court system we have over 1,000 laws, in the US Code alone. That is just one section. We seem to do a pretty good job of not breaking them even though we don't know them. But Israel knew the 700 laws they weren't suppose to break and they couldn't do it. Is it that there laws were harder to keep, sure maybe they were. Or maybe it was the fact that God knew they couldn't succeed without Him?

God is a jealous God. He makes that abundantly clear in Exodus, however, Israel loved to deny Him. They would not talk to Him, except when it came to a ritual offering. We see that God shows favor on His people when they talk to Him. God isn't a God who wants you to not live your life. He is a God that wants you to engage Him in your life.

Now how is my random babbling relating to you today. Prayer is really our heart's desire to know and to have a relationship with God. We can tell where we are with God based off of our prayer life. I am not saying that we need to have long, extravagant prayers because God is specific about not giving Him word vomit. But giving Him our true desires and needs.

"Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your request to God." Philippians 4:6

In every situation we run into where we need God's guidance or support or protection, then lift it up to Him. Petition with thanksgiving because God has answered every need in our life. Even when we feel like He is not answering, He has already answered that prayer. God does not turn His back on us, we turn our backs on Him. Today if you read to this point I want you to do something. Thank God for what He has done and what He will continue to do. When you feel like He is not answering pray harder and P.U.S.H. (Pray Until Something Happens).

Here is a model prayer if you need an example:

Dear Lord,
Thank you for _____. You are awesome! The Heavens declare your Glory Forever. Forgive me of my sins. Amen.

Thanks for listening and God Bless!

Job 1:22

"Through all this [pain and suffering] Job did not sin nor did he blame God." (emphasis mine)

Job was a man's man! Here is this man who had wealth, a beautiful wife, beautiful kids, land, workers, and God's favor. Any man would be lucky to have one or two of those attributes, specifically God's favor but still just some.

Well one day God was having a conversation with the Devil, and the Devil pleaded that let me take everything away from your faithful servant Job. And God knowing the outcome of it all, allowed Satan to take everything away from Job. So Job's family and his estates were taken from him in a day. Job was so upset that he tore his garments and begin to weep.

Job was extremely distraught and angry but notice that he does not take it out on God. Because Job knew that God wasn't to blame for his suffering. Sure what the Lord gives the Lord takes.

But that is not what my message is about today. My message is about how Job stood up in a world of pain and suffering and he did not sin, nor did he blame God.

When terrible things happen such as, school shootings, kidnapping, and other horrible crimes; it is not God who should be blamed. For God is Holy and is not capable of doing such acts. When we look into Theology we see that God is all Righteous and Holy. What does that mean? It means that God's very being and nature are pure and without sin. God physically cannot commit a horrendous act because that would be to deny his Holiness. That would be like trying to tell a dog to change himself into a cat. It just can't be done.

God does not commit the act, Satan does! When we look at Job we see that it was Satan who took everything away from Job. And we also see that God says that you will not lay a finger on my faithful servants head. Job was faithful to God and because of this God took favor on him.
Job was rewarded for his faithfulness. It is said that Job's new estate was comparable to any King.

How does my random thought process apply to you today. When you read the paper and see all the horrible things happening in the world, realize that it is not God who is doing it. It is man's sin that is committing the crime. If you are of this world then you will be caught up in the misery of this world. But if you decided that your place is with Christ in Heaven, then you can stand firm during trials and tribulation. You can be like Job who did not sin nor did he blame God.

Thanks for reading and God Bless!

Ephesians 2:8-9

"For it is by Grace that you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift from God-not by works, so that no one can boast."

Today I was studying from "Wesley Gold," it basically is a collection of his works and thoughts. It inspired me to begin writing a blog on my spiritual walk.

John Wesley was an interesting Theologian, in that he never had more than one congregation. He only stayed at that congregation for 3 years. He was asked to leave because his messages were offending the aristocrats. Instead he did a lot of soul searching, and found that his walk with God was troublesome because he didn't know who Jesus Christ was. So it wasn't till he went through a violent storm on his way to the Americas that he realized his life was based on works.

I found this to be a good place to start my journey. I know who Christ is and He is very much alive in me. However, I am not an open air speaker and felt this might be the place to start preaching.

I want to talk about Lightning and Thunder for a moment. Every one knows that thunder always follows lightning. You can't have thunder before lightning, because it is the light that breaks the sound barrier that creates thunder. Very much of our Faith is the same as lightning and thunder.

Many people believe that good works are going to secure their place in Heaven. Ephesians speaks very differently. You are not going to be saved from works alone. Because whether you believe it or not, we are all inherently selfish and vain. Christ knew this and that is why He spoke so much on it is by faith. For you to enter into the kingdom of Heaven you are going to need a child like faith. A child like faith is not referring to a immature faith, but instead a faith that is putting all trust and understanding on to Him.

Now to those who say, "but faith without works is nothing." My response is you are right and you are wrong. I believe that if you have faith works will come naturally, because you are wanting to serve the Lord for what He has given us. However, if you think that your Faith is proportionate to the amount of works you perform, then you would be wrong. Because Ephesians makes it very clear, that it is nothing that we could have done, but it is a Gift from God through His Son, Christ Jesus.

To sum it up, treat your faith like lightning and your works light thunder. Your faith will produce works, like lightning produces thunder. However, you can never have thunder before lightning, just like you can't have works that produce faith.

Thanks and God Bless.
